Price monitoring software for ecommerce product pages
WebsiteChange is price monitoring software for brands, retailers and ecommerce pricing managers who need to know what competitors and resellers charge on their public product pages. It watches the price block, extracts price and stock status, keeps the history and sends the data where your pricing decisions are made, whether that is an inbox, a Slack channel, a spreadsheet or a repricing tool.
Built for the people who own prices in ecommerce
What these roles share is a list of specific product URLs and a need for clean numbers, not a long email about a changed footer. WebsiteChange serves them as a price monitoring tool for daily checks and as a steady source of competitor price intelligence for longer pricing reviews.
- Pricing managers at brands and retailers who compare their shelf price with key competitors every day.
- Category managers who want to see when a rival runs a promotion on the products that drive their category.
- Brand teams checking that resellers display the agreed price on their product pages.
- Marketplace sellers who need to know when a competing listing changes price or runs out of stock.
- Buyers at B2B distributors tracking supplier list prices and availability for parts they reorder.
Watch the price block, not the whole product page
Product pages are busy. Reviews load in, recommended items rotate, a delivery date updates every day and a countdown timer ticks. If you compared the whole page, you would get an alert on every check. Element watching fixes this.
Open the snapshot of a product page, click the price block, and WebsiteChange stores a CSS selector for that element. From then on only that block is compared. If you prefer, paste the selector yourself. Add an ignore rule for anything inside the block that changes without meaning, such as a "sold 40 today" counter. Element watching and ignore rules are included on every plan.
Price and stock extraction as structured data
On Growth, Business and Enterprise, every check of a product page extracts two values you can work with as data.
| Value | What you get |
|---|---|
| Price | The current price shown in the watched block, with currency |
| Stock status | In stock, low stock or out of stock, as the page displays it |
| Change summary | One sentence written by an AI model, such as "Price dropped from 129 to 109 USD; now out of stock" |
| Importance | Low, medium or high, so you can filter what reaches people |
| Evidence | Full-page screenshot and highlighted diff for each version |
A drop of a few cents on a slow-moving item might be scored low and go into a digest. A competitor cutting the price of your best seller by a fifth on a Friday afternoon gets scored high and reaches the pricing manager right away.
CSV export and webhooks into your pricing tools
Prices are useful once they reach the tool where you set your own. WebsiteChange gives you two ways to move them.
- CSV export of versions and extracted values for any page, workspace or date range, ready for a spreadsheet or a BI tool.
- Webhooks that fire on each change with the URL, extracted price, stock status, summary and importance, so a repricing tool, an internal database or an automation can act on it.
- The read API on Growth to pull the latest values on your own schedule, and the full API on Business and Enterprise to create and manage monitors from your systems.
A typical flow: a webhook posts every high importance price change into your pricing team's channel and, at the same time, writes the new competitor price into the sheet your repricing rules read from.
Choosing a plan by catalog size
Pick a plan by how many product pages you need to watch and how fast you need to know.
- Growth covers 250 pages with checks every 15 minutes, price and stock extraction, the read API and 3 workspaces, for 199 USD per month or 99 USD per month billed yearly.
- Business covers 1,000 pages with checks every 5 minutes, the full API, 15 workspaces and digests per team, for 499 USD per month or 249 USD per month billed yearly.
- Enterprise covers 5,000 pages with checks every 2 minutes, unlimited workspaces and higher API rate limits, for 1,199 USD per month or 599 USD per month billed yearly.
Starter, at 49 USD per month, watches up to 50 pages with summaries and element watching but without extraction, which suits someone checking a small set of rival product pages by eye. Checks are counted per billing period, so plan your intervals: a handful of hero products every 15 minutes and the long tail once a day.
Only public product pages, fetched politely
WebsiteChange reads publicly reachable product pages and nothing behind a login. We respect robots.txt, never sign in on your behalf, never solve CAPTCHAs, never bypass paywalls or access controls, and spread requests so that no single store receives more than a polite rate. Prices shown only to logged-in members or inside a cart are out of scope.
Brands that enforce minimum advertised prices across resellers should read map price monitoring software. For SaaS pricing tables and plan changes, see competitor price monitoring. Availability on its own has a page on stock availability monitoring, and the website change monitoring api page documents the webhook payload.
