WebsiteChange

Refund Policy

Last updated October 20, 2026

Payments for WebsiteChange are final. We refund only in the three narrow cases described below. Before you pay anything, the one-time demo on the home page shows a real snapshot of a page you choose and a change summary, so you can judge the product first, and you can cancel your subscription at any time.

Payments are final

A WebsiteChange plan is a monthly or yearly subscription that gives access to the service with the limits shown on the pricing page. You pay for access for a period, not for each check, and that access starts in full when the period begins. There is no free plan. The demo exists so you can see how monitoring and summaries work on a real page before you subscribe.

By subscribing you ask us to start providing the service immediately.

What we never refund

The following are not grounds for a full or partial refund:

  • changing your mind or no longer needing monitoring,
  • not using the service, or using few of the checks or summaries in your plan,
  • forgetting to cancel before a renewal, or cancelling right after one,
  • a renewal collected after one or more failed payment attempts, because the new period had already started,
  • assuming a plan was a single payment, although every plan is shown as a recurring subscription before checkout,
  • choosing the wrong plan, billing period or number of seats,
  • disagreeing with the wording or importance score of an AI summary,
  • a website you watch blocking automated visitors, changing its structure, or showing content that differs by location or login,
  • a feature not working the way you assumed where it is not described on the pricing page,
  • the unused part of a period after you cancel,
  • use of your account by someone you shared it with.

The only exceptions

We issue a refund only in these cases, only when the records support them, and only up to the amount of the affected charge.

  • Double charge. You were billed twice for the same period because of a fault in our billing.
  • Proven unauthorized charge. Your card was used without your permission, you tell us within 14 days of the charge, and the transaction and account records confirm it. We may ask you to confirm that you reported the misuse to your card issuer.
  • Total service failure. A confirmed fault on our side made the service completely unusable for a continuous period, you reported it to us at the time, and we could not fix it. Slower checks, a single missed check or problems with your own device or network do not count.

A granted refund goes back to the original payment method only, is limited to what you paid for the affected period, and is our full liability for the matter.

Cancelling and renewals

You can cancel at any time from your account, without contacting us. Cancelling stops all future renewals. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and that period is never pro-rated or partly refunded. Cancelling is not a refund request.

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel. When a new period begins, payment for it is due. If a charge fails, the payment processor retries it over the following days. These retries collect an amount already due for a period that has started, and they are not refundable once collected.

Upgrades and downgrades

Moving to a higher plan, or from monthly to yearly billing, charges the price difference right away, and the higher plan starts once that payment succeeds. Moving to a lower plan does not refund any part of the current period.

A note for consumers in the European Union

If you subscribe as a consumer in the European Union, you normally have a 14 day right of withdrawal from a distance contract. At checkout you ask us to start the service immediately and confirm that you lose the right of withdrawal once the service has begun. If you did not give that consent, you keep the statutory right, and a withdrawal is handled as the law requires. Business customers do not have this right.

How to request a refund

Email [email protected] within 14 days of the charge, from the address on your account. Include the date and amount of the charge and which of the three exceptions applies, with any details that support it. We reply within one business day and review each request against the records of the account and the payment.

Please contact us before disputing a charge with your bank. A chargeback raised without first contacting us breaches our terms of service and leads to closure of the account. See also our privacy policy.
