Terms of Service
Last updated October 20, 2026
These terms govern your use of WebsiteChange, the website change monitoring service at websitechange.com, operated by the administrator of the websitechange.com service. By creating an account or using the service you accept these terms, our privacy policy and our refund policy. Questions go to [email protected].
The service
WebsiteChange checks public web pages you choose, stores versions of them with text, structure and screenshots, detects changes, writes short AI summaries of real changes, and sends alerts to the channels you set up. The features and limits of each plan are described on the pricing page. The one-time demo on the home page lets you see a real snapshot and a sample change summary before you pay.
Your account
You need an account to use the service. You must give a valid email address, confirm it with the code we send, and keep your password safe. You are responsible for everything done under your account and in your workspaces, including by members you invite. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. If you use the service for an organization, you accept these terms on its behalf.
Subscriptions and billing
- Every plan is a subscription billed monthly or yearly in advance. There is no free plan.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period until you cancel.
- You can cancel at any time in your account. Cancellation stops the next renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period already paid.
- Moving to a higher plan or from monthly to yearly billing charges the difference right away. Moving to a lower plan takes effect without a refund of the current period.
- Prices are shown in USD. Taxes are added where the law requires.
- If a payment fails, we retry it and may limit the account until the amount due is paid.
- Payments are final except as set out in our refund policy.
Usage limits
Each plan sets limits on monitored pages, checks per month, AI summaries per month, seats and workspaces. Checks and summaries are counted as usage within each billing period and reset when a new period starts. Deleting a monitor, a version or a workspace does not give back checks or summaries already used. When you reach a limit, the related feature pauses until the next period or until you move to a higher plan. Faster schedules use more checks.
Acceptable use
You may monitor only publicly reachable pages that you are allowed to monitor. When using WebsiteChange you agree that:
- you respect the terms of use and robots.txt of the websites you watch,
- you do not ask us to log in anywhere on your behalf and do not submit credentials to sites you watch,
- you do not use the service to solve CAPTCHAs or to bypass paywalls, logins or other access controls,
- you do not set check frequencies or numbers of monitors on one site that would burden that site,
- you do not use the service to collect or scrape personal data from websites,
- you do not monitor content that is illegal to access or store,
- you do not resell the service, share accounts outside your organization, or try to get around plan limits,
- you do not probe, attack or disrupt the service or other users.
We may refuse to fetch a page, pause a monitor or suspend an account that breaks these rules. We respect robots.txt and fetch politely per host regardless of your settings.
AI summaries
Change summaries and importance scores are produced by an AI model from the detected difference. They are meant to help you decide what to read first. They may be incomplete or wrong, and they are not legal, financial or professional advice. Always check the stored version and the full diff before relying on a change, and consult a qualified professional for decisions about contracts, compliance or law.
Your content and our rights
Your monitors, settings and the versions stored for you belong to your workspace. You give us the permission needed to fetch, store, process and display them to provide the service. We do not use your watchlist for any purpose other than running and securing the service. The software, design and brand of WebsiteChange remain ours.
Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep WebsiteChange available at all times, but we do not promise uninterrupted operation, except for the uptime service level that applies to Enterprise plans. Watched websites may block automated visitors, change their structure or go offline, which can cause missed or delayed checks. We may improve or change features over time. If we remove a core feature of your plan, we will tell you in advance.
Termination
You can stop using the service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, fails to pay, or puts the service or other users at risk, with notice where reasonable. After closure, your monitors and history are deleted according to our privacy policy. A chargeback raised without first contacting us is a breach of these terms.
Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The service is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, lost profits or lost data, or for decisions made on the basis of alerts or summaries. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the service in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or rights consumers have under mandatory law.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the law that applies at the seat of the administrator of the websitechange.com service, without regard to conflict of law rules, unless mandatory law where you live gives you the right to rely on local rules or local courts. Before starting a dispute, please email [email protected] so we can try to resolve the matter directly.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version. Material changes are emailed to account holders before they take effect, and continued use after that date means you accept the updated terms.
